Franconia was founded by Sebastian, a mechanical engineer from the region of Franconia in Germany. With a background in hands-on problem solving and a knack for practical craftsmanship, Sebastian has always been the kind of person who can build, fix, or improve just about anything.

After travelling the world, he settled in New Zealand in the late 2000s and soon discovered a passion for the greenhouse industry. The combination of engineering precision and the satisfaction of helping things grow felt like the perfect fit.

Over the years, Sebastian built his experience designing, maintaining, and repairing greenhouse structures across rural New Zealand. In 2023, he launched Franconia, a business built on craftsmanship, reliability, and a genuine commitment to supporting growers, season after season.
